  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (170 g or 6 oz each) Fresh, high-quality salmon is the star of this dish.
  • 80 ml hot honey (1/3 cup) Adds the sweet heat that makes this recipe sing!
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Always use fresh garlic for the best results!
  • 30 ml lemon juice (2 tbsp) Freshly squeezed is best, but bottled will do in a pinch.
  • 5 g smoked paprika (1 tsp) Adds a wonderful smoky flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Simple seasonings can elevate any dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the hot honey glaze generously over each fillet.
Cooking
  1. Bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is caramelized and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prep the hot honey glaze in advance and store it in the fridge for up to a week. The cooked salmon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, wrap individual fillets tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil.
