  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 each egg
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Chopped green onions for garnish For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey and soy sauce.
  2. Drizzle the honey mixture over the meatballs.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Tips: Do not overmix the meatball mixture to keep them tender. Add herbs or spices for variations. If the mixture is too sticky, add more breadcrumbs for shaping. For a spicy kick, include red pepper flakes.
