Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 chicken thighs boneless, skinless
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • salt & black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

  1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden brown.
  3. Reduce heat, add minced garlic, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over the top, and simmer until fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/74°C), about 10-15 minutes.
  6. For a thicker sauce, stir in a cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water) and let simmer until glossy.
  7. Serve over rice, noodles, or vegetables. Spoon sauce over top.

Notes

Marinate chicken in sauce for 1-2 hours for extra flavor. Try adding red pepper flakes for heat or swap soy sauce for tamari for gluten-free option.
