  • 1 pound Fresh green beans Trimmed and blanched
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 cup French fried onions For topping
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded Optional topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Trim and blanch the fresh green beans in boiling water for 3-5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the blanched green beans into the mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the green bean mixture into a casserole dish and top with French fried onions. If using, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until heated through and the onions are golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm as a side dish. Pairs well with roasted meats like turkey, chicken, or ham. You can also enjoy it alongside rice or mashed potatoes.
