  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry or Crescent Roll Dough Both options are delicious—puff pastry is flakier, while crescent roll dough is softer.
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash) Blend with water for a golden sheen.
  • Optional Decorative Garnishes (such as sesame seeds or poppy seeds) Add flavor and visual appeal.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry or crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and cut into strips about 1 inch wide.
  3. Wrap a strip of dough around each cocktail sausage, starting at one end and spiraling down.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the wrapped sausages on the sheet.
  5. Whisk together the egg and water to create the egg wash, then brush it over the top of each wrapped sausage.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and add any optional decorative garnishes.
  3. Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm.

Notes

Keep dough cold to maintain flakiness. Use kitchen scissors to cut dough strips easily. Experiment with flavors by using different types of sausages.
