Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry or crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and cut into strips about 1 inch wide.
- Wrap a strip of dough around each cocktail sausage, starting at one end and spiraling down.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the wrapped sausages on the sheet.
- Whisk together the egg and water to create the egg wash, then brush it over the top of each wrapped sausage.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and add any optional decorative garnishes.
- Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm.
Notes
Keep dough cold to maintain flakiness. Use kitchen scissors to cut dough strips easily. Experiment with flavors by using different types of sausages.
