Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Whisk briefly until well mixed and set aside.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat (around 375°F), adding the butter. Once melted and bubbling, add in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until it becomes fragrant and lightly golden.
- Add the bite-sized chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown on all sides and no longer pink in the center.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked chicken, stirring to coat all the pieces evenly. Allow it to cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken beautifully.
- If desired, drizzle with sesame oil before serving. Serve hot alongside steamed rice, versatile noodles, or stir-fried vegetables.
Notes
For best results, ensure your chicken is at room temperature before cooking. You can prepare the chicken and sauce in advance and store them separately for a quick dinner reheat.
