Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the pumpkin puree evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin puree.
  4. Add the pumpkin spice on top of the cake mix.
  5. Distribute the chopped pecans evenly over the mixture.
  6. Pour the melted butter over the top of the entire mixture.
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve warm topped with whipped cream.
