Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the pie crusts and use a cookie cutter or sharp knife to create doll shapes.
- Place a doll shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spoon a small amount of cherry pie filling in the center of each doll.
- Take another doll shape and gently cover the filling, pressing the edges together.
- Cut small slits into the top layer of pie crust to form ‘arms’ and ‘legs.’
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
- Let the pies cool slightly, then drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Decorate with black licorice pieces for arms and candy eyes.
Notes
For extra flakiness, keep pie crusts chilled. Watch the baking time—every oven is different. Feel free to experiment with different pie fillings.
