  • 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough Adds a gooey surprise inside each pie.
Glaze and Decorations
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar Creates a lovely glaze—think of it as the voodoo 'magic'!
  • 1 tablespoon milk To loosen up the glaze and make it drizzlable.
  • to taste black licorice For decoration, use for 'arms' and 'legs.'
  • to taste candy eyes Brings your voodoo dolls to life with a playful gaze!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the pie crusts and use a cookie cutter or sharp knife to create doll shapes.
  3. Place a doll shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spoon a small amount of cherry pie filling in the center of each doll.
  5. Take another doll shape and gently cover the filling, pressing the edges together.
  6. Cut small slits into the top layer of pie crust to form ‘arms’ and ‘legs.’
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
  3. Let the pies cool slightly, then drizzle the glaze over the top.
  4. Decorate with black licorice pieces for arms and candy eyes.

Notes

For extra flakiness, keep pie crusts chilled. Watch the baking time—every oven is different. Feel free to experiment with different pie fillings.
