  • 3 pieces avocados Choose ripe ones that yield slightly when pressed.
  • 1 piece lime (juiced) Can substitute lemon juice if limes aren't available.
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 pieces tomatoes (diced)
  • 1-2 pieces jalapeños (diced, optional) Reduce or omit for milder guacamole.

  • to taste Cilantro (chopped, optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until desired chunkiness is reached, aiming for a creamy texture with some small chunks.
  3. Add lime juice, onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, and salt to the bowl, and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in cilantro if using, and mix gently to incorporate.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.

Notes

For optimal freshness, store leftover guacamole in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use within 1-2 days for best flavor. To freeze, place in a freezer-safe bag and consume within 3 months.
