- Cut the avocados in half and remove the seed. Scoop the flesh into a medium-sized bowl. Avoid cutting too deeply to prevent bruising the fruit.
- Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocados until desired consistency is reached—smooth or chunky.
- Pour in the lime juice and sprinkle the salt over the avocado mixture. Stir gently to combine.
- Add the diced onion, chopped cilantro, Roma tomatoes, minced garlic, and jalapeño (if using). Stir until well combined, taking care not to over mix.
- Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl. Enjoy fresh with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh at room temperature. Can be garnished with a sprig of cilantro or lime wedge. Serve with crispy tortilla chips or fresh veggies.
