Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce Can use tamari for gluten-free option
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha Optional, for heat
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 pound shredded Brussels sprouts
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1/2 of a lime juiced

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, add the ground beef and crumble it as it cooks. Mix in the green onions, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, sriracha, and soy sauce. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, then transfer to a plate.
  2. In the same skillet, add a tablespoon of avocado oil and toss in the shredded Brussels sprouts. Season with salt and pepper, sautéing until the Brussels sprouts are soft and caramelized.
  3. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, add the sweet chili sauce and lime juice, stirring until everything is evenly coated in the sauce.
  4. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish. Serve the dish over rice or your favorite side.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the ground beef in soy sauce and sriracha for about 15 minutes before cooking. Avoid overcooking the Brussels sprouts to maintain their slight crunch.
