Ingredients

For the marinade
  • 1 pound chicken breasts or your choice of protein
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For garnish
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts, coating them evenly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in a refrigerator or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high, approximately 375°F. Ensure the grill is clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
Cooking
  1. Place the marinated chicken on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the juices run clear.
  2. Once done, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serving
  1. Serve alongside your favorite sides, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

For best results, choose organic or free-range chicken if available. You can swap chicken for tofu for a vegan option. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before cooking.
