  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Natural sweetness binds everything together.
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., almond or peanut butter) For creaminess and a dose of protein.
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips Tiny bursts of chocolate make everything better.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract A splash of warmth to elevate the flavors.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances sweetness and balances flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and salt.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the honey and nut butter together, stirring gently.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract to the melted mixture.
  5. Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
  10. Slice into your chewy, crunchy granola bars and enjoy.

Notes

For variations, swap nuts, add seeds or dried fruits. Serve with Greek yogurt or peanut butter for an elevated snack experience.
