Method
Preparation
- Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs; add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Toss shrimp in the garlic butter mixture until well coated, then press shrimp into the Parmesan-panko mixture to coat evenly.
Cooking
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
- Air fry shrimp at 400°F (200°C) for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer shrimp to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess butter; garnish with extra Parmesan or parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
Make sure to properly dry the shrimp before coating to help the mixture stick better. Feel free to adjust the seasoning to match your taste preferences. For a little kick, add more red pepper flakes. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
