Method

Preparation
  1. Pat chicken pieces dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and sear chicken until golden, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and cover to keep warm.
Making the Sauce
  1. Melt butter in the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Gradually add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Drain pasta and reserve some cooking water.
Combining the Dish
  1. Add drained pasta to the sauce and toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  2. Slice chicken and incorporate back into the skillet, stirring everything gently to combine.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Adjust seasoning as desired. For a baked version, transfer the finished dish to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs and parmesan, then bake until golden.
