- In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds until golden brown, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat and let them cool.
- In a bowl, combine the toasted sesame seeds, shredded nori, bonito flakes (if using), sea salt, sugar, and shichimi togarashi.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Toast sesame seeds carefully to avoid burning. Adjust seasonings to taste. For spice, add more shichimi togarashi or chili flakes.
