Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup sesame seeds (white and/or black) Toasted until golden brown.
  • 1/2 cup nori seaweed, shredded
  • 1/4 cup bonito flakes Optional.
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon shichimi togarashi Optional for heat.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds until golden brown, stirring frequently.
  2. Remove from heat and let them cool.
  3. In a bowl, combine the toasted sesame seeds, shredded nori, bonito flakes (if using), sea salt, sugar, and shichimi togarashi.
  4. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  5. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Toast sesame seeds carefully to avoid burning. Adjust seasonings to taste. For spice, add more shichimi togarashi or chili flakes.
