Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring; mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, powdered sugar, or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
