Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold into the wet mixture.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle the Halloween candy over the first layer of batter.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and spread to cover the candy.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
For better flavor, use quality cocoa powder. Make sure to let the brownies cool completely for clean cuts.
