Cooking the Ingredients
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, lay the chopped bacon into the pan. Let it sizzle luxuriously until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon, leaving the grease behind.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the bacon grease. Sauté until the onion turns translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Next, toss in the sliced sausage. Let it cook until browned, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped cabbage and let it wilt and soften for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Fold in the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon pieces.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes. You can also experiment with fresh herbs, other veggies, or a squeeze of lemon juice for a bright finish. Pair with crusty bread or a simple salad for an enjoyable meal.
