Preparation
- Butter a 9" x 13" casserole dish to prevent sticking.
- In a large pot over low-medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the mini marshmallows and stir until smooth.
- Pour in the Rice Krispie cereal and fold until fully coated.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared dish and press down firmly. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, cut the treats into various rectangular sizes.
Decorating
- Melt the green candy melts using a double boiler. If thick, add a teaspoon of vegetable shortening.
- Dip each Rice Krispie treat into the melted green candy melts and then into the black jimmies.
- Add two royal icing eyes to each treat.
- Melt the black candy melts and pipe on some stitches. Allow to set completely.
Notes
These treats are customizable and can be made ahead of time. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days.
