  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
For the Ribs
  • 1 rack baby back ribs (membrane removed) Look for an even amount of meat and fat.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar BBQ sauce Can use different types of BBQ sauce for unique flavors.
  • 2-3 Tbs honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • Parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  2. Lay the ribs on a large sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together all the dry rub ingredients. Generously rub this mixture onto both sides of the ribs.
Baking
  1. Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil and place them on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours.
Saucing and Broiling
  1. After 3 hours, carefully unwrap the ribs. Mix together the BBQ sauce and honey in a separate bowl.
  2. Brush this mixture liberally over the ribs.
  3. Place the ribs back in the oven on the lowest rack and broil on high for about 3-5 minutes, keeping a close eye on them to prevent burning until caramelized and bubbling.
  4. Remove from the oven and brush with more BBQ sauce, then sprinkle with parsley if desired.

Notes

These ribs are best served hot, straight from the oven. Pair with sides like coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans.
