Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the dough into small balls, around 1 inch, and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Gently flatten each dough ball with a fork or your hands.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can experiment with different sugars or add extracts for variety.
