Preparation
  1. Place a skillet over medium heat and allow it to warm up for about 2 minutes until it's hot but not smoking.
  2. Add the butter to the skillet and watch as it melts and begins to foam.
Cooking
  1. Toss the trimmed asparagus into the skillet, spreading them out evenly to avoid overcrowding.
  2. Allow the asparagus to sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally every 2 minutes, until they are vibrant green, tender when pierced with a fork, and slightly golden brown on the edges.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle the sautéed asparagus with salt and pepper to taste, toss gently, and transfer to a serving dish.

Notes
