Ingredients
  

For the shrimp
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the tacos
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 medium avocado, sliced
  • to taste Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • as needed Lime wedges for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the shrimp in a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the shrimp.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and curl slightly.
  2. Meanwhile, warm the tortillas in a separate dry skillet or microwave until pliable, about 30 seconds on each side if using a skillet.
Assembly
  1. To assemble the tacos, place a few shrimp in each tortilla and top with shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and fresh cilantro.
  2. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For storage, keep components separately in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 2 days. Cooked shrimp can be frozen for up to 3 months. Marinating shrimp can enhance flavor, and consider using fresh ingredients for the best taste.
