  • Soy sauce
  • Maple syrup or agave
  • Rice vinegar
  • Garlic minced
  • Ginger grated
  • Chili flakes or sriracha to taste
  • Cornstarch slurry cornstarch mixed with water
  • Toasted sesame oil
Garnish
  • Green onions chopped
  • Sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, chili, and cornstarch slurry.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the sauce and simmer until it thickens into a glossy glaze.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and toss until fully coated.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Customize with tofu, vegetables, or even a spoonful of peanut butter for variation. Adjust chili for desired heat level.
