Easy Fresh Strawberry Mousse

Main Ingredients
  • 12 1/2 ounces 12 1/2 ounces strawberries Fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup 1 cup heavy or whipping cream (cold) Make sure the cream is very cold before whipping.
  • Extra strawberries for topping Use fresh strawberries for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Clean and slice the strawberries.
  2. In a blender or food processor, add the sliced strawberries and the sugar, then puree them.
  3. Remove 1/2 a cup of the puree and set it aside.
  4. In a cold bowl, add the cream and beat it until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold in the remaining strawberry puree (not the 1/2 cup you set aside).
Assembly
  1. Divide the reserved 1/2 cup of puree between 4 small or medium glasses.
  2. Top each glass with the strawberry mousse.
  3. Refrigerate for about 1 hour or overnight if desired.
  4. Top with fresh sliced strawberries before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve in small glasses or dessert bowls for a beautiful presentation. Consider adding mint for an extra touch. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
