Oven Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat and lightly spray it with oil.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
- Add the Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface until it is slightly tacky.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal balls and shape each ball into a bagel.
- Brush the bagels with the egg wash and sprinkle your choice of toppings on each one.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow the bagels to cool for 15 minutes before cutting.
Air Fryer Method
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk these ingredients together.
- Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface, then divide it into 4 balls and shape them into bagels.
- Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle on your desired toppings.
- Preheat your air fryer to 280°F (140°C) and cook the bagels for 15-16 minutes, or until they are golden.
- Let them cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
These bagels are best served warm. They can be used with cream cheese, butter, or toppings of your choice. To store, let them cool completely and place in a zip-top bag or airtight container. They last at room temperature for 2-3 days, or can be frozen for up to 2 months.
