  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder Use good-quality cocoa for better flavor.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Measure flour correctly by spooning it into the cup.
  • 3/4 cup sugar Can substitute with coconut sugar if desired.

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Fold in gently.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually stir in the melted butter until fully incorporated.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt thoroughly.
  5. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
  6. Incorporate the flour and cocoa powder until just combined, avoiding over-mixing.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips carefully.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  3. Once baked, cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
