Ingredients

For the Strawberries
  • 3 lbs strawberries Choose ripe and fresh strawberries for the best taste.
For the Filling
  • 1 8 oz block cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is softened before mixing for a smoother texture.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Adjust sweetness according to preference.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream Can be substituted with whipped topping or omitted.
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs Or use 2 graham cracker sheets.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash all the strawberries and dry them thoroughly.
  2. Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise, and cut off the hump on the back of each half so they lay flat.
  3. Place the halved strawberries on a baking sheet and set them aside.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour in the heavy whipping cream and whip the mixture until it thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer the cheesecake filling into a piping or Ziploc bag. Fill each strawberry half with the creamy mixture.
  7. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on top before serving.

Notes

Serve Deviled Strawberries on a nice platter. Drizzle with chocolate sauce for an extra treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days, but best eaten within a day for optimal flavor and texture. Variations include adding different flavors like lemon or almond extract, or using other fruits like raspberries or bananas.
