Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream (or Greek yogurt) until smooth.
- Add the medium cheddar cheese and ranch seasoning mix. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
- Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
- Once the cheese ball is firm, remove it from the refrigerator. Roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans for a crunchy coating.
Serving
- Place the cheese ball on a serving platter. Use black olives for the eyes, a cherry tomato for the nose, and pretzels for antlers.
Notes
Store any leftover cheese ball in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. Cover with plastic wrap to keep it from drying out. You can make the cheese ball a day ahead for convenience.
