Ingredients
  

Puff Pastry
  • 2 packages 2 (17.3 oz.) packages puff pastry, thawed Use store-bought puff pastry for convenience.
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons ground cinnamon Set aside 4 tablespoons for sprinkling later.
Butter
  • 0.5 cup salted butter, softened

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray or line it with muffin liners.
  2. Open each of the four puff pastry sheets and lay them flat. Set aside two sheets for the top.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon, setting aside 4 tablespoons for sprinkling later.
  4. Spread 0.25 cup of butter on each of the bottom two sheets, then sprinkle most of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  5. Place the other two pastry sheets on top of the buttered sheets.
  6. Cut each stack into 6 equal strips using a pizza cutter or a pastry wheel.
  7. Roll up the strips and place each rolled strip into a muffin cup.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Roll the warm cruffins in the reserved cinnamon sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve cruffins warm for the best experience. They are great on their own or with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or freeze them for longer storage.
