  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts You can use thighs, drumsticks, or even a whole chicken.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) This is the base for the gravy.
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix For flavoring the dish.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Adjust quantity if needed for desired consistency.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice or mashed potatoes (for serving) This is for serving the dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, and chicken broth.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  2. Serve over cooked rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

To store leftovers, let them cool and transfer to an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator or up to 3 months in the freezer. Sauté onions and garlic for added flavor, and feel free to add vegetables like carrots or potatoes to the crockpot.
