- Place the seasoned chicken at the bottom of the crock pot.
Sauce Preparation
- In a bowl, combine chicken broth, heavy cream, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Stir well to mix.
Cooking
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crock pot.
- Cover and set the crock pot to low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- In the last 15 minutes of cooking, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and allow it to melt into the sauce.
- Once cooked, give the sauce a good stir and garnish with freshly chopped basil leaves before serving.
