Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash the potatoes under running water to remove dirt.
- Dry each potato with a towel.
- Poke holes all over the potatoes with a fork.
- Rub each potato with olive oil, then sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes.
- Check that they're done when easily pierced with a fork and aromatic.
Serving
- Let them cool briefly, then serve warm with or without toppings.
Notes
For extra crispiness, bake directly on the oven rack. Feel free to experiment with other potato varieties and seasoning additions.
