Ingredients

Salmon
  • 1 lb salmon fillet skinless, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • salt & pepper to taste
Honey Garlic Glaze
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for searing
Garnish (optional)
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions sliced, for garnish

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

  1. Pat salmon cubes dry and season with salt and pepper. Toss in cornstarch to coat evenly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Let simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Return salmon to skillet and toss in the glaze. Cook for 1 more minute until coated and glossy.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot over rice or in lettuce wraps.

Notes

Dry your salmon well and avoid overcrowding the pan for best crispiness. Reheat leftovers in a skillet to regain texture. Not ideal for freezing after cooking due to texture loss.
