Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • cheese cubes mozzarella, cheddar, or pepper jack
  • all-purpose flour
  • eggs beaten
  • breadcrumbs or panko
  • garlic powder
  • paprika
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • vegetable oil for frying

Equipment

  • Deep Frying Pan
  • Slotted Spoon
  • Freezer-safe Tray

Method

  1. Cut cheese into ¾ to 1-inch cubes.
  2. Set up a dredging station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs with seasonings in the third.
  3. Dip cheese cubes in flour, then egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, double dip in egg and breadcrumbs again.
  4. Place coated cheese bites on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the bites in small batches for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Freeze before frying to prevent cheese leakage. Use panko for extra crispiness. Try flavor variations with herbs, lemon pepper, or smoky cheeses!
