Preparation
- Wash the apples thoroughly to remove any wax. Core and slice them into thin, fry-like strips.
- In a large bowl, combine the apple strips with lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Toss gently until every slice is coated.
- Drizzle the olive oil over your apple mixture, giving it a light toss again.
Cooking
- Lay the apple strips evenly in the air fryer basket. Set your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
- Keep an eye on your apple fries during the last few minutes to make sure they don’t overcook.
Notes
Enjoy warm, drizzled with caramel or served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store sliced apples with lemon juice in the refrigerator for up to a few hours before cooking.
