Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to ensure those crumbs stick.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Place the breaded chicken in the basket and air fry for about 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  2. Once the chicken is crispy and cooked through, remove it from the air fryer and top each breast with marinara sauce and a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  3. Return it to the air fryer and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

Use a meat mallet to gently pound the chicken breasts for even cooking. Experiment with different cheeses for a unique twist and ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
