Method

Preparation
  1. Take the pork chops out of the fridge 15-30 minutes prior to starting the recipe if possible.
  2. Season the pork generously with salt & pepper on both sides.
Cooking the Pork
  1. In a deep skillet, add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of the butter over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the pork chops for 3-5 minutes per side until golden.
  3. Transfer to a plate.
Making the Sauce
  1. Add the remaining butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 3 minutes until garlic is browned.
  2. Push the garlic to one side, sprinkle in flour, and cook for 30 seconds. Stir to incorporate.
  3. Add the chicken broth and lemon juice. Cook for about a minute until the sauce thickens.
  4. Stir in garlic powder and cream.
  5. Return pork to the skillet and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens further and pork is fully cooked (minimum 145°F).
  6. Season with extra salt & pepper and parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops for a few hours with herbs or spices before cooking. Use fresh garlic for the best taste, but you can substitute with garlic powder if necessary. Adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more chicken broth if desired.
