Preparation
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from the skillet. Lower heat, add butter, and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to deglaze the pan. Add Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat with the sauce.
Notes
To store leftovers, let the chicken cool down completely. Place it in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you want to keep it longer, you can freeze it for up to 2 months. Reheat gently to avoid overcooking. Ensure the chicken is of even thickness for even cooking. Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for added nutrition.
