Preparation
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from the skillet. Lower heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir to deglaze the skillet. Add Parmesan cheese and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat with the sauce.
Notes
Can serve over pasta, rice, or alongside steamed vegetables. Pairs well with garlic bread or a fresh salad. For extra flavor, try marinating the chicken for a few hours before cooking. For added spice, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for variations.
