Preparation
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes on each side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet. Lower the heat, add butter and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to deglaze the pan. Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat the chicken through and coat it with the creamy sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a couple of hours before cooking. Avoid overcooking the chicken to keep it juicy. This dish can be served with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables.
