  • 2 cups milk Whole milk adds creaminess, but any variety can be used.
  • to taste salt and pepper Always taste as you go!

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, over medium heat, add your ground beef. Let it sizzle and brown.
  2. Toss in the chopped onion and allow it to soften.
Cooking
  1. Once the beef is browned, sprinkle the flour evenly over the mixture.
  2. Stir to combine and cook for another minute until well combined.
  3. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a gravy.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
Serving
  1. Ladle the creamy goodness over toasted bread or warm biscuits.

Notes

Keep stirring the gravy while adding the milk to avoid lumps. You can add Worcestershire sauce or garlic powder for extra flavor. Leftovers can be used in shepherd’s pie or tossed with pasta.
