Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish (about 9x9 inches).
- In a bowl, gently toss the fresh cranberries with orange zest and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until crumbly.
- Take half of the crumble mixture and press it firmly into the baking dish.
- Spread the cranberry mixture evenly over the crumble base.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares.
Notes
Use fresh cranberries for the best taste. Don't overmix the crumble. Allow the bars to cool for clean cuts. A pinch more orange zest can enhance the flavor.
