  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
Topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, followed by both extracts, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients, mixing just until incorporated.
  6. Gently fold in the colored sprinkles.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden and cookies have set.
  3. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
