- In a large pot, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until softened.
- Pour in the tomato broth and crushed tomatoes, and bring to a boil.
- Break the lasagna noodles into bite-sized pieces and add them to the pot.
- Cook according to package instructions until tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Serve hot, topped with remaining mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil.
