Ingredients
  

Sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • Ground black pepper to taste
Noodles and Vegetables
  • 3 (5.6 ounce) packages Yakisoba noodles or Chinese Egg Noodles Can substitute with other noodles.
  • 2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil For sautéing.
  • cup celery, chopped diagonally Fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups chopped cabbage

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Rinse the noodles well and drain, discarding any included flavor packets.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Sauté celery and onion for 1-2 minutes until the onions soften.
  2. Add cabbage and cook for another minute.
  3. Add noodles and the sauce mixture to the vegetables. Stir-fry over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are just heated through.

Notes

Serve warm as a main dish or side. Pairs well with Asian-inspired dishes. For extra kick, sprinkle crushed red pepper on top.
