Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Decoration
  • to taste Spring-colored M&M's for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt and whisk together.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fill a cookie press with the dough and press onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Gently press a Spring-colored M&M into the center of each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and cool on wire racks before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze cookies in a single layer for up to three months.
