  • 1/3 cup honey Can substitute with granulated sugar if desired.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 piece egg, beaten Use room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Ensure not to over-mix the batter.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas using a fork or potato masher until they reach a chunky consistency.
  3. Mix in the melted butter with the mashed bananas until combined.
  4. Stir in the honey, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well-mixed.
  5. Sprinkle in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, then gradually add flour, mixing just until incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Bake in your preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, checking with a toothpick to ensure it comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding chocolate chips or nuts. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for 2-3 months. Avoid over-mixing for a tender loaf.
