Method
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy.
- Add granulated sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined and creamy.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until a soft dough forms.
- Roll 1-inch balls of dough in powdered sugar and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet 2 inches apart.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until the edges are just set. Cool before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. For best texture, do not overbake.
