Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Coating
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add granulated sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined and creamy.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll 1-inch balls of dough in powdered sugar and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until the edges are just set. Cool before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. For best texture, do not overbake.
